Motor, Singer 301

Does your 301 moan or screech when it runs? The problem is likely a worn-out upper bearing. These bearings are sealed and the original grease lubricant becomes dried out and ineffective. The motor is then running without lubrication and the bearing starts to wear. As that wear increases the motor become loud and will eventually fail.

Your choices are either replace the upper motor bearing and brushes (which we also have in stock) or replace the entire motor.

Our Singer 301 motors have been disassembled, cleaned, reassembled with a new upper bearing, lower bearing lubricated, and the motor brushes replaced if necessary. The pinion gear is cleaned and the motor is ready to install.

Note: Our website charges for shipping based just on the order amount and not by weight. Since these motors are relatively heavy, some of the shipping cost is included in the price of our motors.
