Gib Screw, Early Style

This is the tiny screw that holds the gib arm in place on the rotary hook. You have to remove this screw to get the bobbin case base out to clean it or clear a thread jam.

This screw fits the original Featherweight 221 hook assembly from later in 1934 to the 1940's, and only in the gib arm with part number 45831.

If you have the 170160 gib arm and need the larger head screw with no bevel underneath the head, click here to order the correct gib screw.

Our Quilters Connection magnet-end screwdriver is excellent for removing this screw and insuring you won't lose it.
